Gas-Burning Fireplace Inserts

Imagine fire at the push of a button! Beautiful gas inserts from Cricket on the Hearth, Inc transform your fireplace. We install gas inserts from Kozy Heat, Mendota, and Jotul. There are a wide array of beautiful fronts to help you compliment the look of your room. Mendota has more than 40 faces to choose from, including black, copper, chrome, gold, and brass trims, doors, and louvers.


The logs and ember beds are so realistic, and the heat so comforting you’ll find yourself turning the unit on every night. You can also design a modern insert with a bed of glass media, sticks, or ceramic stones with the flames dancing up through the material. All gas stove inserts are rated as high-efficiency furnaces and can be used in a power-out situation. They are remote-controlled with a thermostat setting for zone heating in your primary living space. Cricket on the Hearth, Inc has quality inserts from Blaze King. Our wood fireplace inserts convert a traditional masonry fireplace to a highly efficient heater, which will safely heat your home. Blowers circulate the room air around the outside of the firebox and then return the heated air to your living space.


Blaze King catalytic stoves are thermostatically controlled to adjust the air required for combustion. These stoves are highly controlled heaters with burn times between 20 and 40 hours (on one load of wood) depending on the stove model. That's efficiency for wood saving, clean burning, and ease of use! Just ask the EPA, as they hold the first number one certificate of compliance!

The door features a large, 24″ x 11″, wide-screen glass viewing area with a nickel plated and handmade olive-wood door handle. Attention to detail is evident from the layered surround panel to the unique control system that allows you to select the heat you want, and is offered in Metallic Black paint, Cast Gray paint or Chestnut Wood enamel finishes.
